Medical Emergency Fund for Penelope
Abandoned in the lobby of a veterinary clinic, poor Penelope must have been so frightened. The young feline was brought to us to receive the care she urgently needs.
Penelope suffers from painful digestive issues. Shortly after arriving, she stopped eating, experienced diarrhea and became jaundiced. She was rushed to an emergency vet for round-the-clock care and diagnostic testing. The young cat was put on IV fluids and antibiotics and started on a refeeding plan to help her gain much needed weight. After three days of specialized care at the vet, Penelope returned to the shelter where she has remained on medications, probiotics and a special diet to help her stay comfortable and aid her healing.
Despite her troubles, Penelope is the sweetest cat with a big personality. Even when she is feeling her worst, she is still chatty, rubbing against the bars of her kennel, begging for love and affection. Will you share your love with sweet Penelope to help ease her pain?
