Medical Emergency Fund for Ernest

So thin you can count his ribs, Ernest needs a lot of loving care to heal.

This sweet pig was rescued from a place where he wasn’t receiving the attention he needed. Not only did he arrive extremely underweight, but his skin and coat are in poor condition, with suspected parasites. On top of that, Ernest is suffering from an uncomfortable urinary tract infection. He needs medications and a nourishing diet to keep him comfortable and start his healing.  Ernest will need a recheck with his vet as he gains more weight to reassess his condition.

Ernest started off fearful of humans, especially men, but slowly he’s learning to trust the people caring for him. He is often found curled up on his straw bed, under his heat lamp to keep warm. Ernest is still quite low energy to see his full personality, small signs of hope shine through…the first time he stood up and grunted when he heard his food being prepared was a huge stepping stone.
