Found in her kind rescuer’s backyard with bone protruding from her leg, sweet Soleil needed urgent help.

It’s unknown how long this poor girl had been suffering, but she was completely unable to use her injured limb. Soleil was rushed to the nearby animal hospital right away, where she was put on pain medications and antibiotics. Due to the severity of her injury, she was scheduled for an amputation surgery. Since then, Soleil has been on strict cage rest—and she has handled it like a little champion.

Now healing from her big surgery, Soleil is learning how to navigate the world on three legs, and she’s doing incredibly well. She loves to snuggle up under her cozy bed, soaking up every gentle pet and bit of attention. She seems relieved to be safe, warm and finally out of pain, filling the room with the sweetest little meows of gratitude.
