Medical Emergency Fund for Kim
Kim’s kind rescuer spotted her lingering around their property, walking with a painful limp and clearly in need of help.
Thankfully, they were able to safely captured her and bring her to their local BC SPCA. When Kim arrived, she was understandably frightened; the poor girl had been through a lot. Her limp was caused by a deep, infected gash running from her thigh down towards her groin. The wound had occurred some time ago and was too old to close, leaving Kim in significant pain. She was brought to the nearby animal hospital where her medical team kept her for round-the-clock care so she could receive pain control and special wound care. Kim is now on a regimen of daily bandage changes and pain medication, and as her wound continues to heal, she has begun gentle physical therapy to help restore normal use of her leg after weeks of pain and limited movement. Once she has fully recovered, Kim will also be spayed.
Though she was shy at first, Kim has begun to relax and realize the comfort of being safe indoors, surrounded by care and kindness. We may never know what caused her injury, but we’re grateful she’s finally on the path to healing. Will you share your love with Kim today to help her on her road to recovery?
Personal updates for Kim will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.
*Goal includes: Round the clock vet care, long term wound care, medications, spay surgery and daily care for Kim until she is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this loving feline, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
