Medical Emergency Fund for Tyson

Found on the side of a road, hidden in a bush—cold, emaciated and covered in filth—this fragile 10-week-old kitten needed veterinary care fast.

Thanks to the quick thinking of his caring rescuers, Tyson was rushed to safety. At the animal hospital, he arrived skinny and lethargic, and was immediately started on fluids while tests were done to determine what was wrong. Bloodwork revealed a very high white blood cell count, and his medical team suspects he was battling a parasite. He was also filled with worms, covered in fleas, unable to stay warm, and refusing food and water. Tyson remained under hospital care for three days and nights, receiving round-the-clock care. Slowly but surely, with medications and careful monitoring, Tyson began to perk up.

Once he was well enough to leave the hospital, Tyson went straight into a foster home, where he could continue receiving special care. As he has started to feel better, Tyson has been learning how to be a kitten! Using his scratching post, jumping on things and climbing all seem to be new to him. He has adored the companionship of his foster’s dogs, finding comfort in their presence.

Little Tyson has been through so much in his short life, but with your kindness, he can leave his painful past behind and grow into the happy, healthy cat he deserves to be!

Personal updates for Tyson will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.

*Goal includes: Round-the-clock vet care, fluids, bloodwork, medications, neuter surgery, and daily care for Tyson until he is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this loving kitten, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
