At just eight weeks old, Castiel arrived in urgent need of care. The tiny puppy had multiple fractures in his back leg that couldn’t be repaired.

The tiny puppy was taken to the animal hospital where his dedicated medical team determined that the best way to relieve his suffering was to amputate the injured leg. The sweet pup was then placed in a loving foster home where he could rest and prepare for his surgery. Now recovering from his big operation, Castiel is on a strict medication schedule to keep him comfortable, with his foster keeping a close eye on his healing.

Castiel is safe, loved, and learning to adapt like the brave little pup he is. Despite everything this little one has been through, he hasn’t stopped wagging his tail. He loves to roll in the grass, playing with falling leaves, and find companionship with his foster mom’s dog and cat. Castiel is truly the best boy — he loves everyone he meets and is always ready for cuddles and kisses.
