Medical Emergency Fund for Hamish
Underweight, alone, and suffering from a painful tail injury, Hamish needed help fast. But you’d never know it from his constant tail wags and big, goofy grin.
Hamish’s injury was caused by “happy tail” – a condition where dogs wag their tails so vigorously they injure themselves. For Hamish, it meant most of his tail had to be amputated so he could heal. During the same procedure, he was also neutered. While under sedation, Hamish’s medical team discovered broken teeth, one deeply rooted in the bone, that will require a complex oral surgery. He is now on pain medication and antibiotics while he recovers and prepares for his next surgery.
Despite everything, Hamish is the goofiest, happiest dog you’ll ever meet. Everyone who meets him falls in love. His caregivers affectionately call him the “Ham-Man” because of his silly, loveable nature. The only thing he’s not a fan of is his cone. He’s already broken four(!) and is now sporting a donut cone to stay safe and a little more comfortable.
With one more surgery ahead, Hamish needs your kindness today. Will you help cover the cost of his care and give this joyful boy the healing he deserves?
Personal updates for Hamish will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Oral surgery, amputation surgery, medications, neuter surgery and daily care for Hamish until he is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this loving dog, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
