Medical Emergency Fund for Princess
This eight-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix was found wandering a neighbourhood in heartbreaking condition. She was itchy and flea-covered, with painfully long nails curling into her paw pads, cloudy eyes, mammary lumps, and a limp that made walking difficult. Princess desperately needed help.
Thankfully, she was found and brought to the nearest BC SPCA, where she was immediately rushed to the vet. After a full exam, her overgrown nails were carefully trimmed, and Princess was started on pain relief medication. She needed a spay surgery, during which the mammary lumps would be removed and biopsied. While sedated, x-rays revealed the cause of her persistent limp…a dislocated hip from an old untreated pelvic injury. Princess had been living in pain for far too long.
Now healing from spay surgery, lump removal, and hip repair, Princess is on the road to recovery. Thankfully her biopsy results came back clear. With help from her foster family, she’s getting the rest, medication, and TLC she needs to feel comfortable again.
Princess loves affection and bonds quickly with her people. She’s already charming everyone in her foster home—including the resident cats, dogs, and kids. Will you share your compassion with Princess today? Your kind gift will help cover the cost of her surgeries and care, and show this sweet senior that her best days are still ahead.
Personal updates for Princess will be provided to anyone who donates to her care.
*Goal includes: Lump removal and biopsy, FHO surgery, x-rays, medications, spay surgery and daily care for Princess until she is ready for adoption. If funds raised go above and beyond the needs of this loving senior, your kind gift will help the next animal who needs urgent medical care.
