Medical Emergency Fund for Jasper and Charlie

Just one look into their sweet, aging eyes, and you could see it all—uncertainty, heartbreak and pain. Jasper and Charlie, two senior dogs, arrived in our care after their beloved guardian passed away. It quickly became clear that Jasper and Charlie were in need of urgent medical attention.

Twelve-year-old Jasper is one of the gentlest dogs we’ve ever met. But it was painfully clear he’d been suffering for a long time. His ears were so severely infected and swollen that no medicine could even reach the infection. Once under the care of his dedicated medical team, he had to be sedated to have the ears flushed and begin steroid treatment—just to reduce the swelling enough for ear medication to reach the infection. He also has arthritis in all four legs and needs oral surgery to ease his pain. But thanks to medication and care, Jasper is already showing signs of relief—his little tail nub wagging, his steps lighter, and his spirit brighter.

Charlie, his eight-year-old sidekick, is full of energy and love. He lives for fetch and cuddles, but has also been hiding painful dental disease. He’ll need two oral surgeries to remove several teeth so he can feel truly comfortable again.

These two grieving souls found comfort in each other during those difficult first days. Now, they need your love to carry them through the final stretch of their healing journey.
