Medical Emergency Fund for Nefertiti

A dog attack left Nefertiti with serious injuries.

Just three-month-old, this tiny kitten must have been terrified. Thankfully, her family reached out for help, and Nefertiti was brought into our care where she could be kept safe and receive urgent medical attention.

The skin on Nefertiti’s left hind foot had been torn away, leaving it severely injured and infected. She also had a puncture wound on her hip that had developed into a painful abscess. Her medical team immediately started her on antibiotics and pain medication to ease her discomfort and fight infection. She now needs daily cleaning and bandage changes on her injured foot, along with regular wound care on her hip. Her team will closely monitor healing over the coming weeks. If her foot doesn’t heal well enough, she may need surgery.
