Medical Emergency Fund for Marshmallow

This three-year-old mama arrived at a BC SPCA animal centre in the middle of a frightening ordeal. Marshmallow was in labor, but something wasn’t right.

She had already delivered one tiny black-and-white kitten, but then her labour stopped progressing. Staff quickly realized Marshmallow was in distress and rushed her to an animal hospital. Marshmallow needed an emergency C-section. Thankfully, with the swift help of her medical team, two more healthy kittens were safely delivered. In a moment filled with uncertainty, Marshmallow and her three babies were given hope.

Today, this little family are safe and recovering together in a foster home with a member of Marshmallow’s medical team. She has a warm, quiet place to heal, regain her strength, and lovingly care for her three precious babies. Each day, mama and kittens are growing a little stronger.
