Medical Emergency Fund for Fred
Seven-year-old Fred’s world was recently turned upside down by changes beyond his control. Wanting the best for him, his family reached out to the BC SPCA for help.
During his intake, staff noticed Fred’s teeth need attention. He requires dental x-rays and oral surgery to clean his mouth and remove any teeth causing him pain. During his examination, his medical team also noticed hair loss. Tests have been conducted, and Fred is currently being quarantined while results come back to determine whether he may have a contagious condition.
Fred is a sweet, affectionate cat once you’ve earned his trust, which makes every milestone feel especially rewarding. When he first arrived, he was extremely shy, spending most of his day hidden in his perch and only emerging to eat. Now, after weeks of patience and care, he eagerly ventures out when he sees people, seeking scratches, snacks, and companionship.
Could you open your heart to Fred today to help him get all the loving care he needs to heal?
Personal updates for Fred will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Oral surgery, x-rays, testing, medications and daily care for Fred until he is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this animal, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
