Imagine you’re hiking up a mountain, far from help, when you discover a tiny kitten struggling all alone. That’s exactly how Kit’s rescuer found her.

Her caring rescuer immediately recognized that something was terribly wrong with her eye. Without hesitation, they carried her down the mountain and rushed her to an animal hospital.

A thorough exam revealed that Kit was suffering from a severe infection in her right eye, symptoms of an upper respiratory infection, and the effects of being underweight and malnourished. She now faces weeks of antibiotics and eye medication to help her recovery. While her treatment begins, she’s resting safely in quarantine. Once she’s strong enough, she’ll need surgery to remove her damaged eye, along with a spay procedure, to give her the best chance at a healthy, comfortable future.

You’d never guess this sweet kitten was left to fend for herself on a mountainside. Kit is an absolute snuggle bug who loves curling up in her caregivers’ arms, purring contently the whole time.
