Medical Emergency Fund for Silvester
Found alone on the street, limping with a broken leg and carrying a bullet in his spine, Silvester has not known much kindness in his life.
Understandably, he was cautious and unsure at first. His rescuer carefully captured him and brought him to safety. Once under the care of his medical team, x-rays revealed not only a break in his leg but also old injuries, including a broken sternum and the bullet lodged in his spine. His leg was initially splinted, but when that didn’t help, it became clear that removing the leg was the best option to give Silvester comfort and mobility. He also needed an oral surgery to remove painful teeth and a neuter.
Slow to warm up to people, Silvester eventually began accepting pets and even purring. After his surgeries, he has transformed into a love bug, rubbing against his kennel door and seeking attention from anyone passing by. Despite everything he’s been through, Silvester’s gentle, affectionate personality shines through.
Silvester has been through unimaginable pain—will you show him the love he’s been missing and help him heal?
Personal updates for Silvester will be provided to anyone who donates to his care.
*Goal includes: Leg amputation surgery, oral surgery, splints, neuter surgery, x-rays, medications, and daily care for Silvester until he is ready for adoption. If the funds raised goes beyond the needs of this animal, your kindness will carry forward to help the next animal in urgent need of life-saving medical care.
