This sweet senior gentleman came to us after wandering on his own and living in pain for months. Finally, Jay was discovered by his kind rescuers and brought to safety.

Once under veterinary care, Jay was diagnosed with advanced oral disease. X-rays revealed the extent of the damage, 11 teeth needed to be removed so he could live comfortably. Bloodwork was necessary ahead of his surgery to ensure he was healthy enough for anesthesia, and then he was ready for his big procedure. Now on pain management and enjoying a soft food diet as he heals, Jay is already on his way to feeling so much better.

After everything he’s been through, Jay’s spirit hasn’t dimmed one bit. He has a rumbling purr as soon as staff open the doors to his room. He’s an absolute love, always asking for attention and snuggles. After so much time spent alone outdoors, Jay is clearly grateful to be safe and surrounded by caring hands.
