Medical Emergency Fund for Xena

When Xena first came into our care, it was clear she had been struggling in constant pain and discomfort. She couldn’t bear any weight on her hind leg and moved with a noticeable limp.

The gentle cat was examined by her medical team, and x-rays revealed a rare condition where her knee cap slips out of place. Her team first recommended strict kennel rest in hopes her condition may improve, but sadly it did not. With her pain continuing and movement still limited, her medical team surgery was recommended as her best chance at a comfortable, pain-free life.

Throughout her entire journey, Xena has remained remarkably sweet, affectionate, and trusting. Even when she’s hurting, she greet staff with soft chirps and gentle rubs. Now healing from her big surgery, Xena is in a foster home where she can get the quiet comfort and loving care she needs as she recovers. With your kindness, Xena will receive all the special care she needs to heal.
